BATHROOM

This shows a range of specially designed items:

In the foreground:

  • Height adjustable basin that is electrically operated and incorporates a battery back-up system. Designed for those with complex needs the taps and plug can be operated by two independent methods either manually or by the hand operated press button system.

    The button operated tap system has a timer built into the circuit and the taps will automatically switch off to prevent flooding. There is also a ‘rise and fall’ cut-off safety mechanism.

    A height variable bath is also available to view and try.

  • In the background;

  • Shower/commode chair: there are many on the market, but this model is a Swedish design with special features. The seat is fully open to the rear instead of the front for ease of access to intimate hygiene for both carer and user.

    The armrests can be taken off or swung away and the footrest slides underneath the seat.

  • We do not have a lot of shower chairs on display but we can give you information and product brochures about other styles.

    For those of us who are unable to use a bath safely or independently, a level access shower may be the option.

    Here we demonstrate that a shower can be put in, in a place of a bath.

    This can be used with or without a range of shower chairs; static, wheeled or wall mounted (with or without legs).

    As illustrated some wall mounted shower seats have legs for extra stability, drop down arms and a padded backrest.

    There is a wide range of shower options that it may be worth investigating to ensure the correct solution is found for your own situation.
